For over 35 years, Douglas R. Haunts has been practising law in the areas of family law and C.A.S. matters. He offers a consultation to review with you personally the legal problems you have and to advise you about your legal options. He also accepts Ontario Legal Aid Certificates, which will honour most, if not all, of your fees and disbursements for family matters.

Doug was born and raised in Kingston, Ontario and is married with three children and two grandchildren. He graduated from Kingston Collegiate and Vocational Institution and attended the Royal Military College of Canada with a B.A. (Hons.) in Politics and Economics, and served as an Officer in the Canadian Armed Forces.
He attended Carleton University and obtained a diploma in Public Administration and then went on to graduate from Queen’s University with a law degree (L.L.B.) and commenced practising in Kingston in 1980, serving the areas of Kingston, Napanee and surrounding areas.
Family and C.A.S. Law
Doug represents his clients and advocates their positions in all areas of family law, including separation, custody and access, child and spousal support, equalization of assets and restraining orders. He also protects the position of parents in Children’s Aid Society and Family and Children’s Services actions.
Doug is supported by his excellent office legal assistants, one who has been with his firm for over 20 years and the other for over 15 years.
